BMW’s ReachNow car sharing program is looking to attract new members by partnering with Alaska Airlines. According to Forbes, Alaska Airlines became a loyalty partner with ReachNow earlier this year, and the partnership enables its members to earn frequent flier miles each time they ride or drive using the mobility company’s services.

The partnership spells out that Alaska Airlines frequent flier points are earned based on the duration of the trip or booking:

Trips over 10 minutes 50 Alaska Mileage Plan miles
All trips that start or end at the airport 100 Alaska Mileage Plan miles
Trips over 24 hours 250 Alaska Mileage Plan miles
Trips over 3 days 500 Alaska Mileage Plan miles

Alaska Airlines is ReachNow’s only loyalty program that earns miles, but the company is working to roll out more choices in the future.

ReachNow had previously been launched in the Portland area, this being one of the first to get the car sharing service in the US. In early 2017, they unveiled their answer to the popular Uber and Lyft ride-hailing programs. Called Ride, the ReachNow app was opened to Seattle customers letting them hail rides on demand. Rides are provided in either a BMW i3 or 3-series sedan by professional drivers, and there is never a surge fare.
