Subtle elegance. That’s what best describes this Silverstone Metallic BMW M3. The purists will also love the fact that it’s a manual. This is an example of a tuning project done right, with the just the right amount of aftermarket parts that aim to enhance the factory looks. Even though this is a pre-facelift BMW M3 and it comes with the old taillights, the overall package, after the modding was done looks, impressive, giving the vehicle an updated, classic and sporty look.
This Silverstone Metallic M3 was named “Elsa.” It has recently joined the very active Orange County Bimmer scene and, within two weeks of hanging out with out owners, the modding craze began. It started slow. First, a set of black kidney grilles were installed. But, as you will see from the media gallery below, the owner was bitten by the modding bug and the exterior mods kept on rolling. After the kidney grille, it was the time to add a gloss black painted trunk badge paired with an M Performance painted carbon fiber spoiler.
The mods kept on piling after that and “Elsa” wanted to differentiate herself from the rest of the M3 and M4 on the market. “Elsa” rocks a JL Motoring V1 carbon fiber front lip and V3 Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser, along with the Vorsteiner diamond black exhaust tips to match the trunk badge.
Next on the upgrades list was a set of HRE FF01 FlowFormed wheels followed, all in a gorgeous Fog finish. The wheels come in sizes of 20×9 in the front and 20×10 in in the rear. Additionally, the wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires, sized 265/30/20 and 295/30/20 in the front and rear, respectively.
Finally, the vehicle received a lowering kit – Macht Schnell Sport Competition lowering springs – and iND painted side markers. a painted trunk badge and the iND painted front reflectors as well. The build was completed by the well-known tuning company European Auto Source.
