The new BMW M2 is quickly becoming the darling of the automotive world. The “baby-M” already offers impressive performance straight off the production lines, but there is always room for improvement, likely one of the reasons why BMW is contemplating on launching an M2 CS. BMWBLOG’s reader Marc Rutten has recently taken ownership of a Long Beach Blue M2 and immediately launched a tuning project.

The M2 is arguably the best looking BMW on the market today. It looks positively aggressive and like it can take anything down on the race track. Being based on the 2 Series, the M2 has a beautiful profile an gorgeous lines. But, being a proper M car, it also has aggressive flared wheel arches and a mean stance. It’s wide, low and angry looking.

So what more can you do to improve upon those looks? In the first iteration, Marc’s M2 features a gloss carbon fiber roof, thanks to a wrap by EliteWrap in France. Next on the list of upgrades were a series of carbon fiber parts from the BMW M Performance Catalog, including a front lip, trunk spoiler and a carbon fiber rear diffuser.

Now, the M2 gets a set of aluminum pedals, puddle lights with the M logo, a full titanium Akrapovic exhaust system with carbon fiber end diffuser and a down pipe with catalytic converter.

Another new upgrade is the AWRON display fitted in one of the dashboard air vents. The display was fitted by Manhart Performance in Germany.

But that’s just the beginning. Marc says more upgrade are planned in the future giving his M2 a quite unique look.
