In time for the launch of the new BMW X4 M40i, BMW has loaded an updated price list on the homepage, thereby revealing the basic price of the new top model. According to the new pricing list, the X4 M40i will cost at least 65,000 euros in Germany, which represents a premium of only 6,200 euros compared to the 306 hp BMW X4 xDrive35i or 4,100 euro against the BMW X4 xDrive35d with 313 hp. The X4 M40i seems almost like a bargain now.
If you consider that the M Sport Package is priced at 3,000 Euros for the 35i and 35d models, and the 19-inch wheels are 950 euros, the X4 M40i seems almost like a bargain now.
The extensive standard equipment of the top model M40i also includes Dynamic Damper Control, a fabric and leather combination for the interior, and a few more details that are likely to make the X4 M40i an attractive package for many xDrive35i-prospective owners.
With a time of 4.9 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h, the BMW X4 M40i accelerates faster than the X4 xDrive35i according to factory specification by full 6 tenths of a second. The electronically limited top speed drops in at 250 km / h, marginally higher than the 247 km/h of the previous top-X4.
The most important competitor of the BMW X4 M40i is undoubtedly the Porsche Macan; this is available as Macan S with 340 hp from 59,715 euros. For the 400 hp Porsche Macan Turbo the Swabians call for a price of 82,087 euros.
