A new competitor for the BMW 3 Series Touring and Audi A4 Avant emerges today. The old, yet all-new 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class T-Model was unveiled to the world.

The practical station wagon variant of the new C-class shares a large part of the technology and design with the sedan, but naturally offers much more storage space and better loading capacity.

Our first image comparison shows the new Mercedes C-Class T-Model next to the F31 BMW 3 Series Touring, a model launched on the market in 2012 and due for a facelift next year. Also in 2015, the new generation Audi A4 Avant is expected to launch on the market, making the choices in the premium touring segment even more complicated.

The modern technology of the new C-Class sedan made its way into the touring model as well, starting with numerous assistance systems of E and S-Class and the powerful infotainment system with Internet connection. Head-Up display and other gadgets show that Mercedes means business with their latest midsize models.

Just like the 3 Series Touring, the T-Model has the 20:40:20 folded backseat, with ample opportunities to carry small and large objects. The load volume is with 490-1510 liters just above the 3 Series Touring and practically at the level of its predecessor, although the C-Class is around ten centimeters longer and four centimeters wider.
