In the 2014 DTM championship season, BMW will run the M4 DTM race car. The opening race is in Hockenheim (DE) on 4th May which also marks the debut of the Red Bull DTM racing team. António Félix da Costa (PT) will race alongside Timo Glock (DE).
Last week, the DTM teams representing the BMW camp tested three days Monteblanco, Spain. In these tests, two copies of the new BMW M4 DTM were tested for the first time.
The focus of the testing work was set on the aerodynamics and the tests were contested by the six BMW drivers Augusto Farfus, Bruno Spengler, Timo Glock, António Félix da Costa, Marco Wittmann and Maxime Martin. In changeable conditions, they covered a total mileage of about 2,500 kilometers.
The joint official ITR tests will be held from 31st March to 03rd April at Budapest’s Hungaroring and from 14th to 17th April at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg.
