EVO Magazine takes the highly-exclusive BMW M3 CRT to Nurburgring for a few hot laps.
The E90 M3 CRT, short for Carbon Racing Technloogy, was produced as a limited edition and only 67 units were manufactured.
Following the steps of the M3 GTS, the CRT came with a premium price and a wide range of performance upgrades. It was priced in Germany at 130,000 euro. BMW M3 Carbon Fiber Technology debuts new production process for CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) components that are used in the i3 and i8.
BMW M3 CRT uses the same engine as the M3 GTS Coupe, 450 horsepower at 8,300 RPM and 324 lb-ft torque at 3,750 RPM. Top speed is limited to 180 mph and the carbon-fiber dressed M3 runs to 62 mph in just 4.4 seconds.
