Announced back in mid-May this year, the limited model BMW M5 35 Jahre Edition has recently reached various dealerships across the world. Out of the 350 units planned, 35 examples are reserved for the US market. One lucky San Francisco Bay dealer has just received a mind-blowing M5 35 Jahre Edition, which is the subject of this article.

The special edition M5, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the iconic high-performance sedan, is based on the M5 Competition version pumping out 617 hp (625 PS) / 460 kW of maximum output and 553 lb-ft of peak torque (750 Nm in the metric system) from the S63 90-degrees V8 aggregate with 4.4-liter displacement with TwinPower Turbo supercharging.

We also learn that this special unit of the M5 35 Jahre Edition is part of the US-destined production scheduled for the period September 2019 – October 2019.

The high-performance M5 sedan is painted in a special BMW Individual color: Frozen Dark Grey II. The model is also fitted with the 20-inch Y-spoke 789 M alloy wheels finished in a special Graphite Grey shade. The car is also equipped with the BMW Individual High-Gloss Black package, which means all-black side window ornaments.

The kidneys, the air intakes profile and the rear diffuser are offered in carbon fibre, thanks to the M Performance Parts equipment. The high-grade sports braking system also makes use of some really eye-catching calipers painted in high gloss black and featuring the M logo on them.

Inside, this M5 35 Jahre Edition displays particularly striking anodized gold aluminum carbon fiber trim for the dashboard, center console and upper door sections. All four door sills bear the “M5 35 Jahre Edition” signature. The seats are dressed in a full leather BMW Individual Merino Black upholstery with beige contrasting stitching.

The lucky owner of this special M5 will get the Executive Package and M Driver’s Package included, as well as the BMW Live Cockpit Professional based on the latest BMW iDrive OS 7.0 infotainment system.

The MSRP for this very unique BMW M5 35 Jahre Edition reaches $128,995, including destination delivery costs and the gas guzzler tax.
