The online configurator for the all-new BMW M8 Gran Coupe is up and running on the BMW Deutschland website. It is time to get into action. Here are some of my proposals regarding the combinations I would choose if I were to buy the F93 M8. The list of customization choices is rich, especially in regards to BMW Individual appointments, so the only limit is your imagination and, of course, your budget.
First of all, I would be choosing the Competition version instead of the standard one. The extra amount charged for is money well spent. And given the fact it is a pure-bred M model, then BMW Individual is quite of a must when speccing the car. On such a high-performance four-door coupe, the BMW Individual high-gloss black accents and body details work very well and really give the whole vehicle a powerful stance.
My top choice for a dream configuration involves ticking the following BMW Individual appointments: the exterior color as BMW Individual Aventurine Red II metallic, BMW Individual Merino Tartufo/Ivory White for the leather upholstery and BMW Individual high-gloss Ash Wood with Silver Effect from the dashboard trim.
The combination of Merino Tartufo leather with Ivory White leather actually harks back to a similar color combo that debuted on the former 6 Series Gran Coupe: Opal White/Amaro Brown.
Next on my top choice list would a combination of BMW Individual Ametrin metallic exterior paint finish with the BMW Individual Ivory White/Night Blue full leather interior, keeping in the Ash Wood trim. I am very fond of the deep blue leather that covers the top part of the dashboard and door covers and as well the M steering wheel and featuring contrasting stitching in the M logo colors.
Last, but surely not the least, would be an M8 Competition Gran Coupe sporting the BMW Individual Motegi Red exterior color. The cabin would be pampered in BMW Individual Midrand Beige and, you guessed, the BMW Individual wood trim with silver effect.
What’s more, the headliner of the cabin can also be covered in pure BMW Individual Nappa leather, which can as well be complementary to the color combination (like Night Blue for the Ivory White/Night Blue combo. Or it can be optionally specified in either Ivory White or Black.
However, the most daring proposition will be the special, limited edition BMW M8 Gran Coupe First Edition model. It features the new BMW Individual Aurora Diamant Green Metallic (inspired mostly by the green color on the BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupe), the gold accents on the body and the BMW Individual Aluminum Line, which really give the car a both alien and majestic look at the same time.
