The U.S. market gets spoiled with a wide range of colors for the all-new 2019 BMW 3 Series. In the US, the standard colors are Alpine White and Jet Black, while for $550, you get additional options – Black Sapphire Metallic, Melbourne Red Metallic, Glacier Silver Metallic, Mineral White Metallic, Mineral Grey Metallic, Mediterranean Blue Metallic, Sunset Orange Metallic, Vermont Bronze Metallic, Portimao Blue Metallic and Blue Ridge Mountain Metallic.

Shown here is a BMW 320d – not offered in the US – featuring the Mineral Grey Metallic color. Mineral Grey was available on the outgoing F30 generation as well and now makes its way into the G20 color palette. This 320d also features the M Sport Package which brings a level higher of aggressiveness to the exterior design.

Even though not offered in the US, the 320d will be one of the biggest sellers of the new 3 Series range. The 320d we drove late last year was the European model powered by a 2.0 liter turbo diesel engine making 190 hp and returning combined: 4.7–4.4 l/100 km. The drag coefficient (Cd) of the BMW 320d has been reduced from 0.26 to 0.23. In Europe, the new G20 320d will get both the six-speed manual and the optional eight-speed automatic transmission.

Customers in the United States will get three choices of the G20 family – the 330i, M340i and 330e hybrid. It remains to be seen if the more affordable 320i model will make a comeback. Several packages are being offered to American customers, from the ZCP Convenience Package ($2,150) to the Driving Assistance Package ($500), Driving Assistance Professional Package ($1,700), M Sport Package ($5,000), ZPK Parking Assistance Package ($900), Luxury Package ($1,950), Premium Package ($2,800), Executive Package ($2,100) and Track Handling Package ($2,450).

Pricing for the new BMW 330i starts at $40,200, which is quite a bump from the standard BMW 320i at the moment. However, it comes with a lot more standard equipment and is right in line with competitors from Audi and Mercedes-Benz. A BMW 330i xDrive will cost you $42,250 before destination. The top G20 3 Series model – BMW M340i XDrive – will arrive in Summer 2019 with a base price of $56,995 which is fairly close to its competitors. The rear wheel drive M340i starts at $54,000 + $995. The Audi S5 has an MSRP of $52,400 while the Mercedes-Benz C43 Sedan kicks off its sales at $53,400. It’s also slightly more expensive than the M Performance X3 M40i which is priced at $54,650.
