Over the last two weeks we’ve been bringing you some exciting photo galleries of the new BMW 8 Series being captured in different parts of the world. From the French series to the UK one, we’ve had the chance to see the new luxury coupe in both the M850i guise and the 840d.
Today, we have one more image gallery to share with you, this time of the M850i xDrive in the beautiful Sunset Orange color and captured in Spain during a media launch.
With the new 8 Series, BMW happily offers some pretty good colors in the US, not just a black, white, silver and blue. There’s a Sunset Orange, two whites, three blacks (one is called grey but it’s basically black), the cool Sonic Speed Blue and the Barcelona Blue that we’ve seen so many times now. In addition, the 8 Series can be ordered with the help of BMW Individual in just about any paint job.
While there are two models at launch – the 840d being the other one – the BMW M850i is the one you want to hear about with its newly revised 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. That engine makes 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque and is mated to an eight-speed automatic, which sends power to a newly revised xDrive all-wheel drive system and a rear-wheel steer system.
According to BMW, the M850i can nail 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, which is right on par with other cars in its segment.
In the US, the 2019 M850i xDrive Coupe will start at $111,900 plus $995 Destination and Handling.
Standard equipment on the all-new 2019 BMW M850i xDrive will include Full LED headlights with BMW LaserLight technology, BMW Individual Merino Leather upholstery, sixteen-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, Sport Automatic Transmission, Adaptive M Suspension with Active-Roll Stabilization, M Sport Brakes, Parking Assistant and BMW Live Cockpit Professional with 12.3 inch and 10.25 inch digital displays, navigation and offering the latest generation of iDrive.
