With the 2018 HRE Open House coming up this weekend, the California-based wheel company has been making strides in order to showcase their newest wheel designs to the public before the event kicks off. This particular build showcases a gorgeous Mineral Gray BMW F82 M4, equipped with a set of newly revealed HRE 540 three-piece forged wheels. The wheels, which draw their design cues from the late ’90s success story – a wheel series that quickly became one of HRE’s hottest sellers on cars like the E46 M3, Porsche 996 Turbo, and C5 Corvette – the HRE 540 is a contemporary remake that ticks all the performance and design boxes.
The HRE 540 was revealed in 2018 in order to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the company. Complete with all the technological and engineering advancements from the last 40 years, the end result is a better 540 ready to take on the next 20 years.
Unlike the more in your face finished Phoenix Yellow BMW E46 M3 and the Sunburst Gold Metallic BMW F80 M3, this Mineral Gray BMW M4 gives us a look into a more stylish and quieter vehicle and wheel combination. For this BMW M4, these HRE 540 wheels are installed in sizes of 20×8.5 and 20×10.5 in the front and rear, respectively. Additionally, these wheels feature a clean Polished Dark Clear finish combination that works well with the dark and classy exterior finish of the vehicle.
