MINI is definitely shifting more of its focus towards electricity and electrified vehicles as it announced today that its line-up for the Los Angeles Auto Show will be spearheaded by its MINI Electric Concept. Alongside the EV visitors will also get to see the MINI Countryman Cooper S E hybrid and the rest of the range that’s currently on sale in the US. One of the crowd favorites will be, without a doubt, the new Ice Blue Edition MINI, which will also be put up for display.
The highlight of the show will be, of course, the US premiere of the MINI Electric Concept. The British premium brand’s concept vehicle is the precursor to emission-free mobility, MINI-style. The MINI-typical go-kart feeling takes on a whole new level thanks to the purely electric drivetrain. From 1 – 10 December 2017 MINI will also be presenting its entire spectrum of models to visitors of the LA Auto show. The new, limited Ice Blue Edition, which has been produced especially for the US market, will also be on display.
Over the 15 years since MINI entered the US market, the brand has not only succeeded in strengthening its position on the market, but has also conquered new customer target groups on which the brand is banking a lot these days. This development will be reflected at the MINI stand at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The MINI Hardtop 2 door, the MINI Hardtop 4 door and the MINI Convertible represent the pinnacle of the premium small car segment. Of course, the Clubman and Countryman models will also be on display in various guises.
As for the MINI Hatch Ice Blue edition, it will be available in limited numbers, even though the exact figures for the US market haven’t been specified just yet. The special edition models will come painted Ice Blue and will have 16-inch alloy wheels, a black roof, black mirror covers and black bonnet stripes. The interior will be dominated by a Satellite Grey theme with custom floor mats while on the outside LED headlights and driving lights will light up the front end.
