Back in the day, Nardo Grey was an exterior color popular within Volkswagen Group. Audi made it quite popular a while back but has recently found a home at BMW Group as well. In the past, we’ve seen several BMW cars painted in the beautiful grey shade, from the i8 to the M3 Sedan. And today, another BMW-related model, the ALPINA B3 Touring uses Nardo Grey to match its aristocratic looks. According to the photographer, Russell McKellar, this is a 1 of 1 special ordered Nardo Grey ALPINA B3 S Touring Allrad specced with BMW Individual Cohiba Brown leather and Individual alcantara trim.
Special ordered black 20” multi spoke ALPINA wheels were also fitted to the stylish and sporty touring model which has recently been updated by the Buchloe-based automaker. The revised straight-six 3.0 litre engine now delivers even more power and ensures thrilling performance. If requested, impressive 324 kW (440 PS) and a maximum torque of 660 Nm at 3.000 U/min are available – In fact 600 Nm of torque is available across a wide range between 2000 rpm and 5000 rpm. Coupled to the excellent ZF 8-Speed Sport-Automatic Transmission it propels the BMW ALPINA B3 S Bi-Turbo in just 4.3 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h and on to a top speed of 306 km/h for the Saloon respectively 303 km/h for the Touring. BMW Efficient Dynamics technologies such as Auto Start Stop and Sailing contribute to an exemplary fuel consumption of only 7.9 – 8.1 l/100 km and 180 – 185 g/km CO2 combined measured to ECE norm.
The B3 S Touring sports standard LED headlights and LED fog lamps, while the taillights shine in the iconic BMW LED design. The front spoiler and chrome kidney grill underline the powerful presence of the BMW ALPINA B3 S Bi-Turbo on the road, hinting at its athletic pedigree and extraordinary performance.
A stainless steel exhaust system, developed in collaboration with Akrapovič, features two trademark elliptical twin tailpipes which are elegantly integrated into the rear diffuser.
The Nardo Grey ALPINA B3 S Touring is currently on sale at ALPINA Belgium by Jean-Michel Martin.
