It may be the old M3 model, but this BMW E92 M3 is a beast in its own right. Coming supercharged, sporting various exterior modifications, it is capable of standing with and running against almost anythingit encounters on the road today. For many, this is the last “real M3” – mostly due to its naturally aspirated engine, an amazing sound, and a linear power delivery. For this owner, some aftermarket touches were needed to make his beast stand out both visually, but also performance wise as well.
In its stock form, the E92 M3 comes powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0 liter V8 engine which delivers 414 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Consequently, the E92 M3 will sprint from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in 4.3 – 4.5 seconds. The vehicle will reach a top speed of 155mph (250km/h). For this M3, the power levels are increased, thanks to the addition of an ESS Supercharger kit.
The chosen ESS Supercharger kit was the VT2-650. With this kit, the supercharger is set at 8 lbs of boost and increases the S65’s output to a monstrous 650 HP and 415 ft-lbs of torque – all the while keeping its monstrous sound note untouched. For many, the supercharger kit is the perfect balance between power, sound, cost, and reliability for this model. It starts at $8,295.00 and the full bolt-on kit is easily installed by any shop, having sufficient experience in engine tuning work.
Furthermore, this BMW M3 comes with a few particular visual additions. The most noticeable one is the addition of a Satin Red wrap. While frowned about by many purists out there, the fact remains that it looks impressive overall. The added red and matte gives the beefed up body lines of the M3 an even more appealing look. The addition of a carbon fiber Arkym AeroRace front lip adds that perfect accentuating touch to the front, breaking the red theme perfectly.
Finally, a set of Volk TE37 wheels finishes the build off. These Japanese style wheels may be more fitting on a Toyota Supra or a Nissan GTR, but in recent years, they have found their home in more than enough BMW builds. The wheels come sized 20×8.5 in the front and 20×10.5 in the rear. With a Matte Black finish, they provide a great contrasting effect against the Matte Red exterior of the vehicle. Complete project was finished by European Auto Source, handling both the supercharger installation and visual mods. Check out the full media gallery of this project right below.
