A new BMW color – Snapper Rocks Blue – celebrated its debut earlier this year along with the 2017 BMW 4 Series Facelift. In all previous photos, we have seen the new paint job – named after a popular surfing beach in Australia – on the coupe model, but now new photos show the BMW 4 Series Cabrio in the strong turquoise blue. The open version of the 4 Series accounts for 25 percent of 4 Series sales in Germany and is therefore clearly behind the dominating Gran Coupé, but also relatively clear before the two-door Coupé, which comes only with a share of 15 percent.
In addition to the popularity of the BMW 4 Series Convertible, its unrestricted year-round convenience and its suitability for daily driving makes it – in many cases – the only car in the household. Thanks to a metal folding roof, many owners drive their cabriolet even in winter. In addition, the steel roof gives some customers a greater sense of safety when driving with the top up.
If the 2017 BMW 4 Series Convertible is also ordered with an efficient engine, like the four-cylinder diesel B47, nothing stands in the way of high-season driving and regular long-distance trips. Depending on the gearbox and tires, the BMW 420d convertible can reach an EU standard consumption of 4.4 to 5.1 liters per 100 kilometers, and the acceleration from the stand to 100 km / h can be achieved in about eight seconds. For those who crave more speed, the 4 Series Convertible with the more powerful six-cylinder diesel engines from 430d and 435d can also be purchased.
The prices for the 2017 BMW 420d Cabrio start at 49,950 Euro, but with the Sport Line shown in these photos, the basic price rises to 54,050 Euro. 18-inch rims, various black trim elements, seat heating, sports seats, the Dakota Dakota leather with Sun Reflective Technology and the handy sports steering wheel are also available onboard.
