The BMW F10 M5 is on its last legs considering the BMW F90 M5 is just around the corner. Naturally, this means pushing the current M5 to the history books. This is even more evident as cars like the all-new BMW M550i strike close within the performance numbers of the current M5, therefore making it a great start for an aftermarket build.
Performance wise, the BMW F10 M5 is no slouch. The vehicle is powered by a 4.4 L V8 turbo petrol engine, the F10 M5 ticks all the performance boxes. The BMW M5 of this generation is capable of accelerating from 0-62 mph (0-100km/h) in 4.2 seconds and its top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). However, an unrestricted (limiter removed) M5 can hit a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).
This build is created by European Auto Source which decided to give the owner of this BMW M5 more power. The tuning shop handled that thanks to an addition of an ESS Tuning S63 Stage 1 Performance ECU software. The tuning shop added a set of Evolution Racewerks Competition Series three-inch catless downpipes. In turn, this yields better exhaust flow and allows the twin-turbos on the S63 engine to exert more boost, thus adding more power.
The BMC high performance replacement air filters allow that 4.4 liter V8 to breathe easily, giving the final power touch to this build.
Furthermore, after the shop handled the performance upgrades, the owner decided to spice things up on the exterior. This is done thanks to a 3D Design carbon fiber rear diffuser and trunk spoiler. A set of ADV10R Directional Track Spec competition wheels – a lightweight solution – were added to the project as well.
The wheels come in sizes of 21×9.5 and 21×11 in the front and rear, respectively. More so, a Gloss Red finish allows for a striking contrasting effect against the Frozen Gray exterior paint scheme. Additionally, the owner opted in for a set of KW Variant 3 Coilover system, yielding better cornering performance and also, a much improved stance too.
