Even though some treat the BMW E90 335i like the step child, it is still a neat looking vehicle. While signs of old age and some design quirks – prevalent even when the model was new – are clearly still there, the vehicle does come with several attractive traits that any BMW owner shouldn’t miss out. Namely, a nonsense approach to high-performance, near perfect 50:50 weight distribution, supreme handling and plenty of fun factored in. To many, picking up one of these (for about 15-20k in either euros or dollars) is a great opportunity to dive into the world of high-performance motoring.
The BMW E90 335i is powered by a familiar powerplant, the N54 straight-six turbocharged engine, delivering 320 horsepower and 450 Nm (330 lb-ft) of torque. While there was a more powerful 335is version, the power that is produced by in the standard E90 335i is more than enough for most drivers. After all, the car comes with some impressive performance numbers. The BMW 335i will sprint from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in 4.7 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 155mph (250km/h).
The impressive performance figures, still relevant exterior design and a gorgeous interior, all make the BMW E90 3 Series an appealing option. But, for some, it’s old age clearly is showing. This is where most owners turn to the aftermarket industry. The same idea was applied to this Alpine White BMW 335i, since it received a set of aftermarket wheels and a new suspension system at European Auto Source, adding to its sporty character.
The wheels chosen are the contemporary looking Apex EC-7 Wheels, while the ST Suspensions Speedtech Coilover System allows the owner to drop the vehicle’s height, adjust the rebound, damping and other cornering related settings. Full media gallery of this build is available below.
