BMW is hosting this month the first press test drive of the new 2017 BMW 5 Series and as always, on display, there are some exciting models. One of them is a G30 540i decked out with a series of M Performance Parts designed for the 5 Series.
The Alpine White 540i features a carbon fiber front splitter along with blacked out inserts in the air curtains, while on the side, carbon fiber skirts with the M Performance Parts logo on them give the car a far sportier look than the standard model.
A set of M Performance wheels have also been fitted onto this 540i, paired with M Performance Brakes with red calipers.
In the rear, the typical carbon fiber diffuser is present, this time with a new design. On top of the trunk sits a carbon fiber lip, also engineering and built by the M Performance Parts division.
The BMW 540i is powered by a 6-cylinder 3-liter straight six engine delivering 335 HP and 332 lb-ft of torque, figures familiar from the BMW M140i model, for example. Accelerating to 60 mph takes 4.9 or 4.7 seconds, depending on the kind of traction you go for. All cars come fitted with the 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard too, no matter if you choose the RWD or AWD model.
BMW will offer the 540i in March 2017.
