This BMW M3 is a Time Attack vehicle, meaning it has been specially customized/tuned for speed, cornering performance and stability.
Different from other forms of motorsport, Time Attack is growing in popularity worldwide. In Time Attack, vehicles compete against a clock making it a different competition when compared to other, more run-of-the-mill type of events where drivers compete against each other. Each car is timed through one circuit of the track, and there are no other cars on the track at that time. The cars run a preliminary lap, then they run a timed lap, finishing it off with a cool-down lap afterwards.
This Laguna Seca Blue M3, was at European Auto Source, presumably for some regular maintenance and check-ups.
