BMW is celebrating its 100th anniversary throughout 2016 and in doing so it has unveiled a few of special edition models. The “luckiest” country in this regard was Japan which was seemingly bombarded with bespoke versions of otherwise normal cars. Now Australia is also joining in. BMW enthusiasts from the land Down Under can now order the BMW 330i and 430i 100 Year Edition Models.
The two models come with a specific configuration created by BMW to put them in a different league. Compared to a standard 330i or 430i, the price tags go up by AUD9,000 to AUD13,000 ($6,700 to $9,700) but you get a bespoke model which was adorned with the BMW Individual treatment. Both the 3 Series and 4 Series can be had in exclusive 100 Year Edition guise based on the Luxury Line or the M Sport Line.
For the 330i, the Luxury Line configuration of your car will include things like the BMW Individual Metallic paintwork in Mediterranean Blue, BMW Individual Extended Leather ‘Merino’ upholstery in Cashmere Beige, fine-wood Ash Grain interior trim with metal inlays and Pearl Gloss chrome highlights, BMW Individual instrument panel finished in leather, BMW Individual leather steering wheel, BMW Individual Anthracite roofliner, door sill finishers with BMW Individual designation, 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound system, sports seats for driver and front passenger, 19″ BMW Individual light-alloy wheels in V-spoke style and a commemorative 100 Year Edition certificate.
On the M Sport versions the optional features include 19″ BMW M light-alloy wheels in Double-spoke style, finished in Bi-colour Orbit Grey, Alpine White paintwork, BMW Individual Extended Leather ‘Merino’ upholstery in Black on top of everything else that is offered on the Luxury Line version.
For the 430i, if you decide to go for the Luxury Line you’ll be treated with a configuration including BMW Individual Metallic paintwork in Tanzanite Blue, BMW Individual Extended Leather ‘Merino’ upholstery in Opal White, BMW Individual instrument panel finished in leather, BMW Individual leather steering wheel, BMW Individual Anthracite roofliner, door sill finishers with BMW Individual designation, Fine-wood Ash Grain interior trim with metal inlays and Pearl Gloss chrome highlights, a Harman Kardon sound system, 19-inch BMW Individual light-alloy wheels in V-spoke style and the Commemorative 100 Year Edition certificate, of course.
On the M Sport version of the 4 Series you’ll be adding M Sport brakes and 19″ BMW M light-alloy wheels in Double-spoke style as well as BMW Individual Special paintwork in Mineral White and BMW Individual Extended Leather ‘Merino’ upholstery in Black along with exterior trims in satin aluminum on top of what’s offered on the Luxury Line version.
The 330i 100 Year Edition Model starts at AUD75,900 ($57,000) which is AUD6,000 more than a standard model. For that kind of money you do get optional features worth AUD13,000. The 430i 100 Year Edition is also AUD6,000 more than the standard model, but on the 4 Series you get additional equipment worth AUD11,500.
