This week, BMW will continue its 100th years celebration in Beijing where the BMW VISION NEXT 100 concept will make an appearance. The highly innovative futuristic car made its debut last month in Munich and will be touring the world throughout 2016. Next month, BMW Group will reveal two more concept cars from MINI and Rolls-Royce with a premiere scheduled for London.
“In two days’ time, I will present the “BMW VISION NEXT 100” on its World Tour in Beijing,” Harald Krüger, BMW CEO said today. “Two more vision vehicles – from MINI and Rolls-Royce – will be unveiled in London in June. All three vehicles will be shown in Los Angeles in October – along with our vision “on two wheels”. So, as you can see: We are working hard on creating the future.”
In developing the BMW VISION NEXT 100, the main objective was to create not an anonymous vehicle but one that is highly personalized and fully geared to meet the driver’s every need. For the BMW VISION NEXT 100, the design team specifically took into account all the trends and technological developments that will be most relevant to BMW in the decades ahead. But they also took many of their cues from innovations and designs of the past.

The car has two driving modes, one of them involving fully autonomous functions. But even when you’re driving, you’re in ‘Boost Mode’ with augmented-reality guiding you, projecting the ideal steering line and speed onto the windscreen. The augmented-reality display will also project hidden hazards into your field of view.
In Ease Mode, the car transforms physically, moving the steering wheel out of the way, relaxing the center console away from the driver, and making seats and door panels feel like a lounge setting.
U.S. customers will have the chance to see the innovative concept in October at the 2016 LA Auto Show.
