BMW’s Touring models aren’t exactly popular in the US and that’s truly a shame. If you’re looking for a bit more room without having to choose a crossover or an SUV, the Sport Wagon alternative might be the one for you. Unfortunately, a lot of people are still reluctant to choosing one, even if it’s a high-seller around the world – such as the BMW 3 Series Touring.
In Europe things are actually completely different. Touring models sell like hot cakes and that’s probably why more and more tuners are looking into enhancing. The guys from Tuningsuche brought out an Orange BMW 328i that can deliver 316 PS.
The engine under the bonnet is the same 2-liter four-cylinder that you may expect from a car wearing the 328i badge, but it had its ECU map changed to deliver some 70 horsepower on top of the stock 245 PS. To make sure things go as smoothly as possible with the new found level of grunt, the exhaust was changed as well with a twin tailpipe design.
Torque also went up by a considerable margin, from the stock 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) to a more impressive 440 Nm (324 lb-ft). As you probably noticed, these figures are dangerously close to what a 335i is able to put down, only in this case we’re down two cylinders.
Other changes include the custom rear diffuser, 20″ BBS wheels and KW adaptive lowering suspension kit. To draw more attention to itself, the car received a Satin Canyon Copper wrap as well as Alcantara wrapped side mirror covers and fuel cap.
