A heavily tuned BMW E92 M3 takes on a drag race specialist – the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. In standard form, the head-to-head race is far from being reasonable, but once the folks at ESS Tuning add some more ponies to the M3, the field has been leveled. This E92 M3 features the VT2-625 supercharger kit which delivers 570 rwhp.
The Dodge Challenger Hellcat uses a 707-hp supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine with a top speed of 204 mph and a 0 to 60 mph time below 4 seconds. With all the goodies added, the M3 tips the scale at 3,470 lbs, while the stock Hellcat is on the heavy side – 4,449 lbs. So less horsepower for the M3, but lighter and with the rolling start, it might be just enough to put it ahead of the Dodge.
Let’s have a look.
