Another example of the almost endless possibilities of customizing the BMW i8 comes – once again – from Abu Dhabi. The local dealership has established itself as one of the most progressive dealers in the world who put a lot of effort in creating some special BMW projects. This BMW i8 features white as its main color adorned with Java Green accents. The white foiling is slightly different from the Crystal White color offered standard by BMW.
The bold Java Green not only matches the pristine exterior, but also goes well against the custom black wheels.
Inside, the i8 also sports a two-tone color – white and black – to create a luxury, yet sporty look.
Just like most BMW i8 projects, this one gets no power upgrade, so “under the hood” the progressive sportscar uses a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a turbocharged three-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine and BMW eDrive technology in the form of an electric drive system.
The 1.5-liter combustion engine develops 170 kW/231 hp and drives the rear wheels of the BMW i8, while the 96 kW/131 hp electric drive sends its power to the front wheels and allows an all-electric range of up to 35 kilometers (22 miles) and a top speed of 120 km/h (75 mph).
