Ausfahrt.tv brings us a review of the 2015 BMW i8. They had the chance to drive the car for a couple of days around their hometown Bielefeld. The comprehensive video focuses on the exterior and interior design, cabin space, technology and driving impressions.
The i8 has technology no other car under a million dollars has, it’s made mostly from carbon-fiber, it’s all-wheel drive and it’s mid-engined. Many also believe the i8 has exotic looks just like the Audi R8, yet the R8 will certainly win in a straight line comparison.
The i8 comes with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a turbocharged three-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine and BMW eDrive technology in the form of an electric drive system.
BMW’s most advanced car built-to-date produces 362 horsepower and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) for a 0 to 100 km/h of 4.4 seconds. Good enough for most owners who love to push their cars closer to the limit.
