The upcoming BMW M6 GT3 is getting ready to join racing championships around the world, but unfortunately, the race car is not street legal. Fortunately, German tuning shop M&D Exclusive – in partnership with Prior Design – decided to create their own replica of the GT3.
Using a BMW 650i Coupe as the base, the PD6XX GT3 project car gets a bespoke wide-body aerodynamic kit which resembles the dimensions of the M6 race car. The livery is similar to the M6 GT3 with the usual M colors. Gold number graphics on the doors are also included, as are a few sponsorship logos on the skirts to complete the M6 GT3 transformation.
The front end features large air intakes, a splitter and dive lanes – all in place to reduce lift. The 650i also gets a new hood with a powerdome.
New side skirts were added to the car and also painted in the M colors. These skirts also act as bridges between the larger wheel arches on the front and rear. At the back, there’s a new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser and three fins. The rear spoiler is also here to improve downforce.
As any respectable race car, the PD6XX GT3 comes with new 21-inch, three-piece Rennen Forged Type R-55 alloy wheels wrapped in Continental Sport Contact 5 tires. They are refined with matte gold spokes with a glossy gold finish on the outer rims.
A proper race car also needs more power, so through an ECU remap, the car now make 495 horsepower and 533 pound-feet of torque.
