Founded in 1973, the BMW Museum gives visitors a tour of the past, present and future of the BMW brand. A rotating display of 125 cars, motorcycles and engines are displayed in a 5,000 square meters multi-level museum in the heart of BMW’s headquarters.
The Museum had a major addition in 2008 which dramatically increased the display space from the original iconic “Roundel” circular museum and it’s now connected to the BMW Welt by a walking bridge.
Broken into seven exhibition houses, BMW has laid out nine decades worth of their automobile history. These highlight engines, motorcycles, racing cars and concepts.
Now through the end of January, the 507 is the key model on display as a special exhibition. BMW presents many versions of the 507 including a gorgeous boat-powered by the 507’s motor and adorned with 507 styling cues.
A dramatic glad wall of over three stories houses historic BMW Motorcycles.
