Since its launch, Rolls-Royce has produced a series of special edition Wraith and the latest one is dedicated to the British detective series “Inspector Morse.”
The ‘Chief Inspector Morse Edition’ was designed at the request of Don Brinkerhoff, Founder and CEO of Lifescapes International, who asked Rolls Royce to design a Wraith with a two-tone exterior color combination.
Since the “inspector” used to drive a Jaguar Mark II model, the show requested a Rolls with a black roof and a red body color.
A complex design process was adopted to develop the two-tone color scheme to match the original Inspector Morse car. Twenty layers of paint were applied and the interior was carefully picked to match with the exterior styling.
Rolls Royce says the painting process was 18 times longer than the regular model.
