Diesels have been in our heart for as long as we remember. For years we’ve been advocating for more diesels on this side of the pond, especially in the six-cylinder combination. One of them is the top dog in the 4 Series family, the 435d, a two door coupe with plenty of torque to throw you back in the chair which unfortunately still remains an European-only affair.
In standard configuration, the BMW 435d delivers 310 horsepower and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque from its 3.0 liter inline-six diesel engine. If you add the xDrive system to the car, the 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) is achieved in 4.7 seconds, just a tenth of a second behind the V8 E92 M3 with DCT.
German tuner G-Power decided to work their magic on this 435d and by using a tuning chip it brought the power up to 375 horsepower and 755 Nm (557 lb-ft) of torque.
While the horsepower figure won’t blow your mind away, peak torque should, because it’s not only way more than what you get from the new M3/M4 (550Nm or 406 lb-ft), and even more than the M5 sedan (680Nm or 501 lb-ft).
The final touch on the car is a new set o custom wheels, the 20-inch Hurricanes RR forged alloy wheels.
