BMW F10 M5 goes to the drag strip to compete against the Audi RS7. The F10 M5 received a power upgrade for its 4.4 liter V8 TwinTurbo engine and now delivers 600 horsepower thanks to a Stage 1 ECU remap by Burger Motorsport. It also comes with an X-Pipe, catless downpipes and a Dinan CarbonFiber Air System.

While the M5 comes with a few tricks under the hood, the Audi RS7 runs on a stock configuration. The new Audi RS7 Sportback shares its drivetrain with the Audi RS6 Avant and has similar tech specs as the M5/M6. It runs on a 4.0 liter V8 TwinTurbo engine producing 560 horsepower and 533 lb-ft of torque. Audi stays true to its DNA and the RS7 Sportback sends power to the wheels via the quattro system.

On paper, the better traction allows the RS7 to run from 0 to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds, same as the stock M5 with the 7-speed DCT.

To even the playfield, the drag race had a rolling start. Let’s have a look.
