The owner of this Black Sapphire BMW F80 M3 went to European Auto Source to not improve the car’s looks but also its performance.
For an instant gain of 50-60 hp and 50-60 ft-lbs tq at the wheels, the tuning shop installed the ESS E-Tronic Tuner under the hood. The E-tronic is a sophisticated multi-channel controller that has RPM and MAF integration. This allows for full control of boost at all RPM ranges and proper AFR calibrations without the need to splice into any factory wiring. Compared to the stock power levels, the BMW M3 with this tuning setup applied should be developing around 475 horsepower and around 450lb-ft of torque. Not a bad upgrade!
After the performance tuning was added, it was time to add some aero parts to the M3. The tuning shop installed a set of BMW M Performance parts, starting with the M Performance front splitter and rear trunk spoiler. The BMW gloss black kidney grille surrounds are another nice touch, while the iND painted front reflectors and gloss black kidney grilles work perfectly in complementing the look of the M3 design. The addition of the RKP rear spoiler made of carbon fiber, matched with Macht Schnell wheel spacers, puts the final touches on this project.
