With some new revisions, the G-Power BMW E92 M3 now churns out 630 horsepower. The German tuner builds upon the supercharger kit previously installed on the E92 M3, adding around 20 horsepower compared to the previous tune.
As you may know, the standard BMW E92 M3 produces 420 horsepower (309 kW) and 400 Nm of torque from its V8 naturally-aspirated engine. While definitely a nice amount of horsepower, the V8 engine clearly benefits from a tuner added forced induction system.
For this project, the engine was upgraded with a supercharger which allows for better fuel air utilization, while leaving the beautiful exhaust sound completely intact.
The G-Power conversion system allows the engine to deliver 630 horses (463 kW) and the 590 Nm of torque. The 0-62mph (0-100 km/h) acceleration comes in just 4.0 seconds. The new BMW F80 M3 reaches the same speed from a standstill, but with less power – 425 hp.
The G-Power BMW E92 M3 will now achieve a top speed of 330 km/h.
The performance tuning was achieved through remapping of the engine management system. G-Power has created an entirely new set of maps for the fueling, ignition, variable-valve-timing and boost control. Therefore, the car now runs efficiently, produces more power and delivers better performance.
The supercharger kit for the E92 M3 costs 13,500 euro plus tax and the mandatory titanium exhaust system adds 5316 euro to that figure.
The final touch on this build are the Diamond-Cut double spoke Hurricane RR forged alloys sized 20 inches with 245/30ZR20 and 295/25ZR20 Michelins at the front and rear, respectively.
Furthermore, the car was lowered by 30mm, front and rear. With great power gains, the stopping power also needed to be increased. A set of new ceramic brakes sized 396 mm with vented discs and six-pot calipers were added on the front axle, and 380 mm with vented discs with four-pot calipers at the rear.
