Steve Dinan, the founder of tuning shop Dinan is leaving the company to join Chip Ganassi Racing. Dinan will continues its normal operation under the leadership of new President and CEO Brian Applegate.
Dinan has over 158 dealers nationwide, including BMW dealerships, and is the only aftermarket tuner that offers a factory matching 4yr/50,000 mile warranty. Steve Dinan founded the company 36 years ago.
Steve will join Ganassi in a management position while continuing to do consulting for Dinan.
“Those of you who know me well know that my heart has always been in racing,” says Steve Dinan. “From my days as a competitive driver to engineering race winning engines for the top teams in motorsport, racing is my passion.

He further added: “You may be aware that together with Chip Ganassi Racing and BMW Dinan as a company has won many Daytona Prototype races and four Rolex Grand-Am championships as well as two overall wins in the 24 Hours of Daytona. This opportunity allows me to be a part of the best team in sports car racing. ”
Ganassi will work with Ford to enter GT racing with first appearance scheduled for 2016.
