At the 2014 Essen Motor Show, AC Schnitzer debuts their BMW X4 Police Car. To celebrate 10 years of the TUNE IT! SAFE! Initiative, the German tuner used a BMW X4 xDrive20i as the base model for the X4 Police Car.
As any respectable police car, the X4 comes with plenty of power. From the standard 184 horsepower delivered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, the X4 Sports Activity Coupe now outputs 245 hp. From 0 to 100 km/h it takes now 6.7 seconds while the 80 to 180 km/h is achieved in 17.5 seconds.
The top speed limit is 212 km/h.
Visually, the X4 Police Car gets enhanced as well. It comes equipped with AC Schnitzer front spoiler, rear diffuser and carbon fiber mirror caps. With its suspension spring kit the vehicle is lowered by around 30 mm (front) and 25 mm (rear).
The tuner has done some work as well in the engine sound department by adding AC Schnitzer silencer with two chromed “Sport“ tailpipe trims each side in right/left combination which are integrated into the rear diffuser.
AC Schnitzer also uses the special police “RTK 7″ signaling system and flashing lights from Hella.
Inside we have the typical AC Schnitzer styling, meaning the aluminum pedal set and foot rest, AC Schnitzer branded floor mats and inscriptions on the dashboard.
A new set of boots were also fitted to the car, the AC Schnitzer Type V forged alloy wheels in Anthracite, along with Ventus S1evo tires in 265/30 R 22 from Hankook.
