Along with the BMW i8, Manhart Racing also brings a modified BMW M235i to the 2014 Essen Motor Show.
Dubbed MH2 400 WB, the wide body high-performance 2 Series Coupe makes the M235i look closer to what the BMW M2 would look like. The car is now 12 cm wider than the stock model and clearly stockier.
The MH2 400 WB employs a similar paint job as the i8, a dark base color with yellow accents, giving the car an even more aggressive and flashy look.
The wheel arches are filled with 20 inch wheels covered with 255 and 295 mm wide tires. A 3-way adjustable KW Clubsport coilover was installed, lowering the car by 45 mm in the front and 40 mm in the rear.
Manhart engineers have also worked their magic under the hood, therefore, the 3.0 liter six-cylinder TwinPower engine now delivers 430 hp and 592 Nm of torque. It reaches a top speed of 320 km/h. A “Stage 1” with “only” 390 hp kit is offered as well.
To stop all that power, a larger braking system was installed.
Inside Manhart has also “cleaned up” the rear seats so the car is not lighter. The front seats have been replaced by the Recaro bucket sport seats that come with brackets and a 4-point harness system. Other goodies that can report additional display information can be ordered inside.
