When you get a particular Alpine White BMW 1M to visit a certain shop, you know its owner is a tuning-oriented person by all means. European Auto Source are showcasing the work they have done on tho stunning BMW 1M.
The Alpine White s receives the Akrapovic titanium exhaust system which perfectly accentuates the growl from BMW 1M’s engine. The Evolution exhaust system also delivers  an additional 20hp and offers weight saving of over 44 lbs. Not too bad for a performance mod!
With the new exhaust system, the 1M certainly sounds like the mean performance beast it really is.
Next in line was an upgraded suspension system. First on this E82’s list was installing the Ohlins DFV Road & Track coilovers, which lowered the car to a more aggressive ride height, improved the handling performance and maintained an acceptable level of daily driver comfort. The coil overs allows the vehicle to attain better driving performance while cornering, while it also gives the car the proper lowering it needs for its next modification to be installed.
Next in line are the wheels. Going with a lightweight set of wheels from a proven company like BBS is a must. The shop installed a a set of 19″ BBS FI wheels, which are almost certainly the most coveted wheels among the BMW community, along with an MRG titanium racing stud conversion kit. These are some of the lightest wheels in that particular size and width.
Under the hood, the guys at the shop swapped out the OEM intercooler with a much larger Forge Motorsport one and installed an Evolution Racewerks diverter valve charge pipe, both of which will work to improve the twin turbos’ power delivery. Along with the carbon fiber Akrapovic tips, this BMW 1M’s exterior is also adorned with a BMW Performance spoiler, Vorsteiner diffuser, Lightweight Performance front lip and an iND Painted cosmetic package.
On the inside, a BMW Performance electronic steering wheel brings the whole car together.
