The Mercedes-Benz Concept S-Class Coupe had its world premiere this week at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto show. Based on the S-Class sedan, the two-door S-Class Coupe comes packed with high-tech and avantgarde design.
Design wise, the Mercedes-Benz Concept S-Class stands out with a sleek and flowing design lines while in the rear it features an attractive coupe-like roofline. The Concept S-Class has a pillar-free greenhouse to lend the cabin a roomy feel. The interior design also seems close to production with a three-spoke steering wheel and a center console mounted bank of world time zone clocks, which might just be a concept feature.
The full-LED headlamps with their iconic eyebrows as daytime driving lamps give the concept an unique look.
The Concept S-Class Coupe measures 198.8 inches long, 77 inches wide, and just 55.5 inches tall. The 116-inch wheelbase makes it one of the largest coupes. The concept sits on 21-inch wheels (wrapped in 265/35 front and 295/35 rear tires).
The showcar comes with an equally attractive engine: the 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 generating 449 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.
