Another premiere at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show was the ALPINA D3 BiTurbo. The Buchloe-based automaker decided to bring out the Touring variant of the D3 featuring the iconic Alpinablue color.
The Touring diesel is based on the F31 3 Series and uses an inline six-cylinder 3.0 liter TwinTurbo diesel motor which outputs 345 HP (257kw) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) torque. 0 to 62 mph is achieved in 4.6 seconds while the top speed is set at 173 mph or 278 km/h.
The fuel consumption ratings are 5.3 liters / 100 km or 44.3 MPG.
ALPINA D3 Biturbo is available with a rear-wheel drive and xDrive setup. Optional limited slip differential will also be available.
