AutoGuide gets us closer to the BMW M4 Concept.
The first M4 model was unveiled earlier this month at the 2013 Pebble Beach Concourse d’Elegance. BMWBLOG team was also present and managed to snap some high-res photos (here and here) and walkaround videos (here and here).
Before we jump into the video here is a quick recap of the design:
The BMW M4 Concept sports an aggressive front end which stands out with large Air Inlets and Air Curtains. A new feature to the M3 and M4 models is the BMW M double bar kidney grille: The black kidney grille bars imitate the characteristic M double spoke design of the BMW M wheels, the M4 emblem on the kidney grille adding an exclusive accent to the front end.
The front apron sports a carbon fiber front splitter. Some of those design elements were exclusively added to the concept car to show some of the aftermarket parts that will become available.
Typical BMW proportions are present on the M4, long bonnet, long wheelbase, set-back greenhouse and a short front overhang. The coupe-like roofline flows into the muscularly designed rear end where a rear spoiler lip is integrated into the trunk lid for optimum downforce.
The powerplant details is still unknown, but more details will be revealed next month. We anticipate to see a power output between 420 and 440 horsepower.
