The new generation F56 MINI will be launched in two weeks at the 2013 Frankfurt International Auto Show. We have already seen the leaked photos of the MINI, followed by MINI’s own “spy photos” that gave us an early look at the final design. Furthermore, the MINI Vision unveiled last month previewed a sampling of visionary design and innovative ideas. The MINI Vision, for example, showcases various elements of future MINI design. MINI has developed a vehicle design laced with new creative impulses that advance the cause of premium quality in the compact class.
In addition to the three and five-door hatchback, and a convertible, MINI will also launch in the future the successor to the current Countryman crossover. The F60 MINI Countryman will arrive in 2015 and will position itself again as a family-friendly model of the MINI brand.
The Countryman has been a highly controversial model, a bold move by the legendary British brand, that turned out to be one of their best model expansion strategies ever. The MINI SUV became popular among the very loyal MINI fans and other models were spun off.
With the new F60 Countryman, MINI will continue to combine the proportions of a small SUV with a refreshed look and slightly more room. Staying true to their market philosophy, the F60 Countryman will be offered with a wide range of powerplants. From the entry level three-cylinder motors to the new 2.0 liter twin-turbo B48 petrol engine that will power the JCW models. Power will be sent to the front wheels as well to the all-four, making the Countryman an year-round vehicle.
Of course, the MINI Countryman coming in 2015 is characterized by a variety of options for customization, but for now, let’s have a look at the rendering above that shows a black-green paint scheme. The GIF image below shows different colors.
