Here are some photos of the new BMW X5 M50d. Just like with the previous generation E70, the F15 X5 will be offered in the M50d configuration.
Under the hood, the X5 M50d features a six-cylinder inline diesel with M Performance TwinPower Turbo technology (three turbochargers, high-pressure, with variable turbine geometry), common rail direct injection with piezo injectors, maximum injection pressure 2,200 bar).
The 3.0 liter diesel engine produces 381 horsepower at 4,000-4,400 rpm and a max torque of 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) at 2,000 – 3,000 rpm. For a car of this weight, the acceleration from 0 to 62 mph is impressive: 5.3 seconds. The top speed is limited to 155 mph. Average fuel consumption according to EU standard: 6.7 liters/100 kilometers.
The BMW X5 M50d is not offered in the North American market.
