When the BMW 1M was launched in 2011, it was one of the most anticipated sport coupes to hit the market. Its aggressive appearance and turbo inline six cylinder powerplant made it a force to be reckoned with and was BMW’s return to its roots of building small lightweight coupes.
BMW specialists, Dinan Engineering, have now launched a complete bolt-on exhaust solution to help any 1M sound as mean as it looks.
Dinan’s Bolt-On Free Flow exhaust system features 20 gauge 304 stainless steel construction measured to exact specifications to ensure the proper fit. This system is designed to add a more aggressive sound under acceleration and more horsepower, while reducing drone inside the vehicle. The exhaust gasses exit out of the laser engraved polished or optional satin black ceramic coated quad tips.
“Dinan’s goal has always been to improve performance without sacrificing reliability,” said Dinan Engineering President Steve Dinan. “We have two exhaust systems one bolt on with muffler and connecting pipe and one with a muffler only which clamps on. Both exhaust make the same power but the bolt on enables the customer to keep their stock exhaust intact, while the clamp on costs substantially less.”
Every Dinan product comes with a factory matching new car warranty and is designed and tested in Morgan Hill, California and can be purchased and installed at any Dinan Approved BMW dealerships nationwide.
