Buchloe-based automaker ALPINA releases new wallpapers of their B3 GT3, B3 S Coupe and B3 S Cabrio models.
The limited edition B3 GT3 race car made its debut last month at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show with only 99 units offered for European customers at 90,000 euros. The BMW ALPINA B3 GT3 combines exceptional characteristics and technical features of the ALPINA B6 GT3 race car with classic design elements of iconic ALPINA automobiles of the past – to the delight of ALPINA customers and enthusiasts worldwide.
The B3 S Coupe and Cabrio are still based on the current E92 and E93 3 Series bodystyle, with the new versions launching in 2013. B3 S Bi-Turbo uses a modified 3.0 liter twin-turbo straight six engine that delivers 400 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 540Nm or 398.3 lb-ft of peak torque. The 0-62mph (100km/h) sprint takes 4.7 seconds for both the saloon and coupe models which are also capable of achieving a top speed of 186mph or 300km/.
The dynamic appearance of the B3 S Bi-Turbo is in part defined by the modern and functional front spoiler. Engineered using the newest developments in aerodynamic design, the spoiler reduces lift at the front and enables optimal air flow to the high performance cooling system.
Inside, the usual ALPINA design cues enhance the already elegant look of a 3 Series vehicle. Special leather and trim increase the level of luxury, while hand-stitched steering wheel is another ALPINA trademark.
